MICHAEL Vaughan's bid to regain his England place didn't get off to the best possible start on his return to action with Yorkshire this week.
He made only 10 in his 30-minute innings lasting just 18 balls against Kent in the County Championship clash at Scarborough on Wednesday.
Sheffield's former England captain had warned beforehand that people shouldn't expect too much too soon as he looks to play the substantial innings that will help persuade the England selectors he's worth a batting spot.
On the same day, Rotherham Town wicketkeeper Simon Guy scored 143 for Yorkshire 2nds against Sussex at Horsham.
