Attock have secured the Irwin Mitchell Midweek Alliance Premier Division title with two matches still to play.

But it was rather an anti-climax as the single point they gained from the washout against Waterworks meant that second-placed Collegiate couldn’t catch them.

Ironically the only game that survived the weather in the Premier Division was at Abbeydale, where Khan made 97-9 (Tamoor Khan 30, Ben Fielding 3-21, Alex Varley 3-40) and Michael Simpson (48*) and Billy Root (34) then saw Collegiate home by eight wickets.

Frecheville took the Division A championship again without playing thanks to the weather but the chase for the second promotion spot is very close with Kashmir, University Staff, Millhouses Works and Outokumpo all in with a chance.
