Sharks completed a double winning weekend on Saturday night with victory at Glasgow Rocks.

After beating Cheshire Phoenix on Friday night at the EIS, Sharks were determined to lose no ground on the BBL leaders by being beaten north of the border.

And they achieved it in some style.

Already holding a double-digit lead at 32-22 thanks to the stellar work of Mike Tuck and frontcourt partner Patrick Horstmann, Sharks put their foot on the accelerator before and after the interval, with Rocks unable to recover.

Once Demetrius Jemison scored to make it 50-27 midway through the third quarter, a Rocks’ revival looked unlikely especially when Olu Babalola scored with successive triples to make it 69-47.

The Rocks tried launching a late salvage mission, but even a 9-0 run and holding Sharks scoreless for almost four minutes proved too little, too late, as time expired for the hosts.

Sharks are at title rivals Worcester Wolves on Friday night.
