Adam Etches maintained his 100 per cent winning record by seeing off Ruslans Pojonisevs in two rounds at the DoubleTree Hilton in Sheffield.

The Birley middleweight punished his Latvian foe over six minutes, showing superb accuracy and spiteful shots.

And it proved too much for Pojonisevs, who shook his head at his corner at the end of the second round with the towel quickly thrown in.

It was a successful night for Etches who not only took is record to 18-0 but also raised plenty of cash for his chosen charity, Weston Park Cancer Charity.

# There was to be no last minute hiccup as Liam Cameron weighed in successfully for tonight’s British super middle title eliminator at Hillsborough Leisure Centre.
