BLINK - and you might miss it!

That’s promoter Eddie Hearn and trainer Dominic Ingle’s prediction for Saturday’s Kell Brook v Carson Jones battle at Sheffield Arena. The pair recognise the personal loathing the fighters have for each other and feel the contest will end early.

At a press conference at Napoleon’s, Owlerton, Hearn said: “It is ironic holding this in a casino, because this fight is very much a gamble for both of them. This is a must-win fight and it will be an explosive one. Sheffield should be very excited about this.”

Jones, an American fond of trying to unsettle opponents with his pre-match aggression, said that he’d prepared for the fight as well as if he’d been due to face Floyd Mayweather. He said he “felt sorry” for Brook, ahead of the IBF title eliminator.

But Ingle suggested that Jones’ style would suit Brook, who would counter punch his way to glory.
