GLYN Rhodes hopes to seal a hat-trick of successes for his Sheffield Boxing Centre gym tonight.

Victory for Parson Cross’s Wayne Reed over Huddersfield’s Alistair Warren at Hillsborough stadium will see the Centre boast three Area champions.

Carl Wild was the first recipient of the honour, at light heavyweight. That was followed by Jez Wilson’s sizzling defeat of much-fancied Liam Cameron at middleweight.

Rhodes said: “It was great to see Jez and Carl winning belts that meant a lot to them.

“Like Wilson v Cameron, tonight will be a 50-50 battle and one that should be a good spectacle.

“Wayne is a come-forward, aggressive southpaw with a horrible style.

“He has a mixed record, but that’s because he has been in with some good opponents. Tonight we’ll see he is champion material.”
