KELL BROOK believes Ryan Rhodes should fight one last match, ending his glorious 17-year career on a high.

Twelve months ago, Brook’s Sheffield pal lost at world title level (Saul Alvarez) and 11 days ago was defeated at European level (Sergey Rabchenko) - a hard double to come back from at the age of 35.

“Maybe Ryan should have one more fight and come away,” suggested Brook, who gave a sparring exhibition at Meadowhall yesterday. “He’s a winner and I can’t see him enjoying himself at British level against fighters who are just coming through. He has a beautiful family and a business and he’s got to think about what’s next. I’d love to see him go out in a winning way.”

Brook, who attracted around 100 well-wishers as he sparred Derbyshire welterweight Jack Perry at the shopping centre, is focusing on his IBF world title eliminator against American Carson Jones on July 7 at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena.
