IN DEMAND duo Scott Jenkins and Adam Etches are proving they can sell out arenas and knock out opponents.
The exciting youngsters were both victorious by way of technical knockout at Ponds Forge in front of a combined total of a thousand of their own fans.
Birley’s Etches and Jenkins from Intake are all-action fighters and sell abnormal amounts of tickets. Their next show is set to be at the Hilton Hotel on April 26 and is practically sold out already.
“We just want to box as regularly as we can and move up the rankings in our divisions,” said Jenkins.
“The next one is for the Western Park charity and then we’ll be looking at fighting twice more leading into the summer.”
Bulgarian Stillian Kostov proved to be no match for light-middleweight Etches, who savaged him with body shots ahead of a third round stoppage.Adrian Fuzesi actually dropped super-featherweight Jenkins in the first, but he fought back sufficiently to force the Hungarian to retire on his stool before the fourth round began.
Ingle-trained heavyweight Richard Towers, aged 32, has now stopped 10 of his 13 opponents after he beat Florida’s Harold Sconiers.
Towers has an impressive knockout ratio of 76.92% and the giant did well to weigh up his opponent before blowing him away with a brutal combination to body and head in the fifth.
