Amir Khan is not rising to Kell Brook’s bait after losing out in his attempt to box Floyd Mayweather.

Khan thought he was on the cusp of sealing a contest with the pound-for-pound idol. But when it became clear he’d been overlooked, Brook was immediately on his case, tweeting: ‘Give the public what they want - biggest payday out there for you. Yu can retire rich at least!”

Brook’s promoter Eddie Hearn added: “Remember it’s public demand that makes fights happen - Brook v Khan make some noise for that one.”

But Khan has continued training in America, making no reference to the Sheffield fighter.
