The show goes on for promoter Dennis Hobson on Saturday night despite a couple of absences from his card at his Magna ‘Bragging Rights’ show.
Earlier this week Muheeb Fazeldin tweeted that his intended Commonwealth title fight with Klaas Mboyane had been postponed. The South African pulled out after visa problems. Fazeldin, 22, from Burngreave, apologised to fans.
Another unbeaten Sheffield boxer, flyweight Kyle Yousaf, also tweeted: “Really disappointed that I had to pull out of my fight this weekend. I’ve caught a cold and haven’t been able to train. Inshallah I will be fighting fit soon.”
The nine-fight card is headlined by English middleweight champion Lewis Taylor’s defence against Jez Wilson, a Dronfield v Sheffield ten rounder.
Also on the bill is former Ingle fighter Sam O’maison who has announced he is now being managed by Ryan Rhodes.
The welterweight lost his unbeaten record last year at Ponds Forge but the 24-year-old former Longley College student boasts a W10 L1 record.
