Fidler a won seven drawn two record, while his Barnsley twitter tormentor Noble, has a W16 L24, D4 sheet.

Noble says he managed to secure the fight by abusing Fidler on social media.

And Fidler admits he was baited into taking it.

Talking on video at thestar.co.uk, Fidler said: “I took the bait, I see it as a challenge. He has been in with some of the best.

It is a big risk and if I beat him - and it’s a big if, he has been in with some good fighters, Martin Murray, Billy Joe Saunders, he’s been in with some of the world’s best, he has got a lot of experience.

“I can measure myself against him.

“I have boxed a lot of journeymen and a couple of prospects and come through it, but this is my biggest challenge.

“I class myself as the underdog in every fight I go into. It’s not done me any harm so far.

“The one fight where I did underestimate the guy I got dropped in the first round. Adam Jones, (Doncaster) a young lad I thought I was going to school him. But I got the shock of my life in the first round.”

While both boxers have been ridiculing each other on social media, 35-year-old Fidler says there is no real animosity from him.

And he hopes that both sets of fans behave themselves at iceSheffield.

There has been trouble at some other venues in the past between opposing factions.

“I have no animosity to anybody in Barnsley. I work near Barnsley, as long as me and Lee are the only ones that are fighting, and everybody in the crowd enjoys it, that’s what we want” said Fidler.

“My family are not like that and I don’t think Lee’s fans are, it’s just banter. Things have been said and got out of hand but I need to calm that - we dont want that.”
