The trusty boot of Donal Collins helped Sheffield claim another home success with a 19-10 victory over Percy Park.
It took him just two minutes to put points on the board after Sheffield had been awarded a penalty but the fourth-placed visitors levelled it up shortly after.
Collins. pictured below, edged his side ahead with another penalty four minutes before the break and he then extended the gap with two more successful kicks after 52 and 58 minutes. Their lead was cut to two points five minutes later when Park were awarded a penalty, kicked to the corner and from the resultant line out their tight head prop crashed over for a converted try.
Sheffield responded with what was probably their best period of the match and after some concerted pressure, scrum half Matt Poste emerged from the rear of a maul to score what was the match-clinching try in the 73 minute.
Collins added the conversion and three minutes later Park’s hooker was yellow-carded and Sheffield closed the game out.
