Apperknowle shocked Parkhead at the Wheatsheaf Ground as the hosts appeared to be cruising to victory in the MPH Joinery Yorkshire & Derbyshire Cricket League Divison One.

The home team were looking good for an easy win as they chased Apperknowle’s 148 all out.

They needed just 25 with 5 wickets and plenty of overs in hand but inspired by Matt Hibbert taking 4-3, the visitors hit back hard, taking the last 5 wickets for just 8 runs to dismiss Parkhead for 131.

Sheffield Centralians were all out for 128 at Beauchief (Kevin Owers 40). De La Salle eased to a win by 7 wickets with Sam Wainwright making 63 not out.

Grindleford were dismissed for 94, with veteran Barry Cox taking 4-28. Hundall strolled to the win, losing 4 wickets on the way.
