SHEFFIELD’s Adam Blythe will be part of the BMC Racing team line up for tomorrow’s E3 Prijs Vlaanderen-Harelbeke race in Belgium.
The 23-year-old is a key member of the BMC squad and has already enjoyed a strong start to the season.
He’ll be riding alongside the likes of world champion Philippe Gilbert of Belgium and Norwegian Thor Hushovd, who won the world title in 2010.
Blythe, who is based for much of the year in Monaco, finished fourth at the Tour of Qatar which was won by Great Britain’s Mark Cavendish.
Blythe will be hoping to impress BMC bosses ahead of the Spring Classics this year, although he has been left out of the team for Sunday’s Gent-Wevelgem race in favour of America Taylor Phinney.
Meanwhile, four-time Olympian Bryan Steel, who won a silver medal at the 2004 Games in Athens in the team pursuit alongside Bradley Wiggins, will host a question and answer evening at the Chimney House on Monday.
The night is organised by the Sheffield-based La Squadra racing team with food and drink provided by Nonnas restaurant.
Tickets £10 cost. Email email@example.com to reserve your place.
