Sheffield Triathlon Club duo Liz Bullivant and Al Churcher grabbed medal glory once again in the European Championships in Spain.
Six club athletes raced in the Age Group Sprint category - 750metre swim, 20km bike and 5km run - and Liz and Al struck silver to add to those they gained in the previous year in Ireland.
Liz, last year’s World and European champion, competed in the 30-34 age group and was also second female overall. Al took part in the 65-69 section.
Steve Judge picked up another gold in the Paratriathlon race while Mick Clarkson narrowly missed out on the medals for the second time this year when he finished fourth. In the men’s elite race Yorkshire’s own superstar brothers, Alistair and Jonny Brownlee bagged gold and silver.
Liz and Al, along with Sheona McKay, will now be upping their training over the next two months as they prepare for the World Championships in Beijing in early September.
