SHEFFIELD United’s young stars return to Bramall Lane with their heads held high after a hard fought battle at Old Trafford which saw Manchester United win the FA Youth Cup 4-1.

The theatre of dreams turned into a nightmare trip for the visitors - and their 6,000 travelling fans - with a brace each from Manchester stars of the future Ravel Morrison and William Keane.

Blades hero Joe Ironside got a late consolation goal in the 72nd minute.

It was always going to be hard to go to Manchester and win - but the challenge became an even bigger mountain to climb as Sheffield trailed 2-0 at half time, following an opener by Morrison, after 38 minutes, then a Keane penalty seven-minutes later.

Morrison got his second in the 70th minute, before Ironside got the Blades’ only goal.

And it was all over when Keane scored again in the 82nd minute.

John Pemberton has named an unchanged team for the second leg of the FA Youth Cup final.

The Academy boss stuck with the same 16 that were on duty for the first leg six days ago.

Manchester United stuck with the same starting XI that played in the first leg but they make changes on the bench.
