Sheffield United are continuing to strengthen their links with India’s leading football academy.
The Tata Football Academy (TFA) will visit Sheffield for three weeks in September, training at United’s Academy in Shirecliffe and playing games against local teams.
Former Blades player Lee Walshaw is spearheading the club’s association with the TFA which is widely recognised as India’s best.
Lee is currently on a visit to Jamshedpur and continuing a programme of activity to support the youngsters’ development. The ultimate aim is to strengthen the relationship which could lead to the best players being assessed at Bramall Lane.
The partnership will also build relationships between the two organisations which could lead to mutually beneficial commercial opportunities.
