Sheffield United have signed Harry Chapman on a season long loan.
The Middlesbrough winger becomes Chris Wilder’s eighth new signing since taking charge of the League One club three months ago and could make his debut against Rochdale tomorrow.
Chapman, aged 18, helped Barnsley win the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy last term during a similar spell at Oakwell.
“He’s got a good head on young shoulders and the positions (he takes) off the ball cause problems, Paul Heckingbottom, Barnsley’s manager, said after describing them as “very lucky” to capture Chapman.
Wilder admitted earlier this week that he was looking to re-enter the transfer market following Che Adams’ transfer to Birmingham City.
Chapman featured in both legs of Barnsley’s League One play-off semi-final against Walsall last season.
