SHEFFIELD United could include Matt Hill in the squad which travels to Shrewsbury Town tomorrow, manager Danny Wilson has confirmed.
Hill has been absent since last month’s FA Cup third round tie at Oxford after fracturing his jaw during an accidental collision with an opposition player.
But Wilson, speaking ahead of the crucial League One encounter with Graham Turner’s side, said: “We’ve got a few lads hopefully on their way back and Matty is the main one we’re talking about.
“He was told he’d be out for around five to six weeks and it’s five weeks this Saturday. He’s coming back into contention now.”
With Neill Collins starting last week’s meeting with Coventry City after recovering from a fractured cheekbone, Wilson could soon be able to select the back four which anchored United’s recent climb to the top of the table.
However, they head to Greenhous Meadow in sixth after taking only two points from their last five games. Town, meanwhile, are 18th.
Although Collins has been fitted with a protective mask, Wilson said: “These days, the stuff they are made of is so light you probably hardly know you’ve got one on.”
