SHEFFIELD United supporters are being given the opportunity to look behind the scenes at Bramall Lane before this weekend’s League One fixture with Oldham Athletic.

John Garrett, United’s historian and archive manager, will host the tour which includes a walk down the players’ tunnel and entry to the Legends of the Lane museum.

“Fans will be able to have their picture taken with the FA Cup and handle some of our collection of winners medals,” Garrett said. “We’ll also be showing rare footage of players and games from years gone by on a big screen.

“It’s a ‘pre-match’ with a difference for supporters.”

Tickets, priced £5 adults and £3 concessions, should be purchased in advance from the box office.

The tour starts at 1pm and is scheduled to finish at 2.15pm.

Meanwhile, former United favourite Tony Kenworthy is the special guest at a question and answer evening on November 1.

The event, which also includes dinner and a complimentary drink, takes place in the stadium’s 1889 Suite.

Kenworthy was a member of the team which lifted the Division Four title 30 years ago.

Tickets, priced £25 (inc VAT) or £200 for a table of 10, are also available from the box office.
