After a midweek humbling by Fulham in the Capital One Cup, it's back to league action for Sheffield United as the Blades travel to Swindon Town.

Possible Teams

Swindon Town: Vigouroux, Traore, Branco, Turnbull, Ormonde-Ottewill, Williams, Kasim, Rodgers, Robert, Smith, Byrne.

Sheffield United: Howard, Freeman, McEveley, Edgar, McFadzean, Basham, J Wallace, Campbell-Ryce, Adams, Sharp, Sammon.

History Lesson

Sheffield United and Swindon Town played each other four times last season, most memorably when the second-leg of their League One play-off semi-final finished 5-5 at the County Ground. That result saw Mark Cooper’s side advance 7-6 on aggregate but they were beaten in the divisional showpiece by Preston North End. Those four fixtures contained only one clean sheet - when United triumphed 2-0 at Bramall Lane in January - and 22 goals; an average of 5.5 per game with Swindon claiming nearly 55 per cent of those. In fact, United’s defence has been breached five times on each of its last two visits to Wiltshire. Those four fixtures have also spawned 26 yellow cards with nine issued during the previous meeting between these clubs.

One to watch

Born in Karrada, one of the most diverse districts of Baghdad, Yaser Kasim began his career in English football with Tottenham Hotspur before joining Brighton and Hove Albion. However the 24-year-old, who was on the verge of completing a transfer to Sheffield United during his spell at White Hart Lane before the deal collapsed, failed to realise his potential until Swindon Town signed him in 2013 following a successful trial. Kasim, a midfielder, has been capped 15 times by his country and helped Iraq, then managed by Radhi Shanaishil, to a fourth placed finish in the recent Asian Cup. His former team mate at the County Ground, Massimo Luongo, was voted the tournament’s best player after helping Australia lift the trophy. Swindon face an anxious wait to discover if Kasim is eligible for selection tomorrow, though, due to another international call-up. Iraq want him to report early for a friendly fixture against Lebanon.

Christopher Sarginson: Tomorrow’s contest between Swindon Town and Sheffield United will be Sarginson’s fourth appointment of the present campaign. Based in Staffordshire, he has yet to send-off a player this season but has issued eight yellow cards. Sarginson’s cautions per game average last term was 2.9 compared to 3.06 the year before. Sarginson did not book a single player when he oversaw United’s victory over Colchester at Bramall Lane in February. His previous appearance at the County Ground came four months earlier when Swindon drew with the Essex club.
