Cresswell game plan put on ice

Rotherham United have been foiled in their bid to give their squad players an outing by the big freeze.

The reserve team’s home game with Hull City was called off yesterday with the pitch at Parkgate frozen.

It would have been a chance for central defender Ryan Cresswell, who hasn’t played since September, to get a much-needed 90 minutes under his belt and for the club to check on the fitness of Gareth Evans.
