Adrian Littlejohn rolled back the years as Sheffield United mastered derby rivals Sheffield Wednesday at Sheffield Arena.

The Blades striker bagged a hat-trick to give his side a 5-3 victory over the Owls, who included the Belgian and Dutch strike duo of Gilles de Bilde and Gerald Sibon, at the Yorkshire Masters football tournament.

His treble earned United a place in the final against Leeds United but four goals from Darren Huckerby ended their chances of lifting the trophy as they dipped to a 5-3 defeat.

Craig Short and Littlejohn had levelled up the match after Huckerby put Leeds 2-0 up and although their Yorkshire rivals again retook the lead, Steve Charles was on hand to equalise before Huckerby’s double salvo.
