A SHOCK 4-0 home defeat against bottom of the table Selby Town ended Hallam’s’ magnificent 10-match undefeated league run.

It could have been different had the Countrymen scored straight from the kick off when Aaron Moxam slammed his shot against the post from Ben Kistell’s through pass.

The visitors made the most of their let-off by taking a 13th minute lead through Jack Wooley. Danny Gray broke away down the middle to poke a shot past on rushing keeper Andy Coulson to double Selby’s lead on 25 minutes.

Julian Watt’s men never really looked like getting back into the game, and Selby wrapped up the points with two quick-fire goals midway through the second half. Wooley bagged his second on 66 minutes. Three minutes later, Sean Dickinson marked his debut with the fourth following his move from Parkgate.

Parkgate came from behind to beat lowly Lincoln Moorlands Railway 2-1 to extend their unbeaten run to four games. Patrick Siba gave Lincoln a 38th minute lead but Lee Hill restored parity six minutes after the break with Adam Shepherd grabbing the winner late on.

Maltby Main went down to a first defeat in five losing 2-0 at Pickering Town, who edged in front through Liam Shepherd on 43 minutes with Steve Baxter sealing the points with two minutes remaining.

Retford United won 2-1 at second-paced Brighouse Town. Bobby Johnson gave the Badgers a sixth minute lead and although Sam Hewitt equalised two minutes into the second half, Craig Fisher grabbed the winner in stoppage time.

Staveley MW’s new manager Neil Cluxton saw his tenure get off to a losing start a Tadcaster Albion and Armthorpe Welfare went down to a fifth defeat in sixat home to Bridlington Town.

Worsbrough Bridge Athletic stretched their unbeaten home league record to 15 games with a 2-0 win over Pontefract Collieries.

A 59th minute Michael Trench penalty earned Dinnington Town a 1-1 draw with Bottesford Town.

AFC Emley won 2-1 at Clipstone Welfare through a Joshua Cooke header and an own-goal 10 minutes from time.

Athersley Recreation were knocked off the top of Division One following a 3-2 defeat to Eccleshill United where the hosts grabbed the winner 13 minutes from time after Jason Bentley and Jack Briscoe had twice levelled for Atherlsey.
