In the Evo-Stik Premier Division, Stocksbridge Park Steels saw their three match winning streak brought to an end with a 3-1 defeat against third in the table FC United at Bracken Moor last night.
The visitors took the lead on 41 minutes through a Jerome Wright lob. They doubled their advantage three minutes after the break when Adam Jones powered home a header from Oliver Banks cross.
Stocksbridge pulled one back on 56 minutes through Nathan Joynes but United restored their two goal cushion four minutes later courtesy of Greg Daniels.
Worksop Town won 2-1 at promotion-chasing Rushall Olympic. Tom Denton headed the Tigers into a sixth minute lead with Matt Young rifling home the second two minutes after the break after the hosts had been reduced to 10-men just before the interval.
Rushall pulled one back on 63 minutes through a Josh Craddock header.
Sheffield FC made it eight games without defeat, beating Carlton Town 2-0 at Dronfield where Matt Roney was made skipper for the evening to mark his 300th appearance for the club.
