Sheffield FC believe they can achieve promotion if they can replicate their end-of-season form from the last campaign.
Manager Ian Whitehorne says there are hopes of taking the Dronfield-based side into the Evo Stik Premier.
“We started alright, (last year) lost our way a bit and then came back” he said.
“The form after Christmas would have got us in the Play Offs, so we’re looking to continue that kind of form. Realistically, looking at the budget we work with, and the teams around us, I think we will be pushing to get into the play offs.”
Whitehorne hopes his ‘upgraded’ side will help attract more fans.
“We have got a lot of ex Wednesday and United players that didn’t quite make the grade with them. Our exciting players are people like Andy Gascoigne, Steve Woolley, Ben Algar, they are the players who catch the eye.”
