Sheffield United have been cut from 9/4 to 13/8 for promotion by Football League sponsor Sky Bet following their Yorkshire derby 1-0 victory at Doncaster Rovers.
The Blades racked up yet another victory without conceding, their fourth in five matches, which was well backed at 9/4 with the online betting firm.
Bristol City remain well ahead of the chasing pack in the League 1 title betting at 11/8 despite going down 1-0 at Swindon, while the 1-0 at win at the Keepmoat Stadium saw Nigel Clough’s men cut to 7/1 joint third favourites.
At the other end of the table, Rovers sit just two points above the drop-zone following Saturday’s defeat and have been cut from 8/1 to 15/2 for relegation, having been priced up at as big as 20/1 at the start of the season.
Meanwhile, Barnsley moved to five points off the League 1 Play-Off places with a 3-2 victory over Colchester on Friday evening, a result which saw them trimmed to 4/1 for a top-six finish and 10/1 for promotion.
Chesterfield remain 18/1 for promotion and 8/1 to go down following their 0-0 draw at Crewe, while 14-goal frontman Eoin Doyle has been pushed out to 11/8 to be the division’s top goalscorer with the Spireites now goalless in four successive league games.
