sheffield Wednesday manager Gary Megson has indicated there maybe significant changes to his team to play Yeovil today in Somerset.

Already it seems likely Gary Madine will have David McGoldrick alongside him after news emerged that Clinton Morrison was in talks last night with League One rivals MK Dons.

The manager was also dismayed by how several members of his team reacted to the 5-1 defeat at Stevenage on Tuesday, particularly their attitude on the team coach on the journey back to Sheffield.

He said it has left question marks hanging over the attitude of some of his players as the Owls bid for the first away win of the season. He said: “You never are sure (how they will react to a defeat) until you start again. Losing was distasteful. I didn’t vent my spleen after the game because you have to concentrate on the next one.

“But the game and the results affect you ten times more as a manager than as a player.

“What I couldn’t accept was an hour and half after the match, having lost in that fashion, we had people on the bus playing with their iPads and having a giggle at something that was on.

“Maybe it’s me being a little bit old-fashioned but we should have been hanging our heads in shame. We didn’t do that and it makes my job even harder.

“I have to pick a team now with all that knowledge in mind, get a team out who can hopefully respond in the right way.”

Megson said the best tonic after a defeat would be a strong performance at Huish Park and maintains that Wednesday are still in a favourable position in League One.

“The only way of sorting the aftermath (of Stevenage) out is to go down to Yeovil and get a result. We are mid-table, but we are only four points off the top.

“We’ve done it before and we have to go and do it again; start putting some results on the table in a consistent way.

“There is a way of losing a game and that’s coming off after you’ve had a real good go and saying we were unlucky.

“We owe a lot of people a lot. It was an awful defeat.
