SHEFFIELD Wednesday ground out three vital points with a 2-3 win away at Oldham Athletic, writes Digital Editor Graham Walker.
The win pushes them six places away from the relegation zone and gives hope of escaping an end of season battle to avoid the drop.
Wednesday lost a two goal advantage but still managed a win.
Mark Beevers headed home from close in to give Wednesday an early lead, after just three minutes.
Chris Sedgwick fires in a goal from inside the six-yard box to double their lead 10-minutes later.
Filipe Morais pulled one back for Oldham in the 22nd minute. Dale Stephens then grabbed the equaliser just before the end of the first half.
But Sedgwick headed home the winner from inside the six-yard box, to make it 3-2.
