GARY Megson has been fined £2,000 and warned over his future conduct at an FA regulatory commission on Thursday in Leeds.
The Sheffield Wednesday manager admitted a charge of improper conduct relating to media comments after the Owls’ League 1 match at Dagenham & Redbridge on March 26.
In media interviews Megson accused referee Steve Rushton of being influenced by a conversation with Dagenham’s John Still. He said he understood it was against the rules for managers to talk to referees at half-time.
Megson’s has already dealt with a charge which arose from his sending-off during the match and language towards the officials. The Owls boss accepted this charge and its standard penalty of £1,000.
