DERBY County goalkeeper Stephen Bywater has signed for Sheffield Wednesday on an emergency loan.
Bywater will stay at Hillsborough up to 17 December.
The 30-year-old is a vastly experienced goalie who has posted 280 senior starts.
He began his career as a trainee with Rochdale before joining West Ham United at just 16-years-old, progressing through the Upton Park ranks with the likes of Joe Cole and Michael Carrick.
Bywater enjoyed loan spells with Wycombe Wanderers, Hull City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Cardiff City and Coventry City whilst on the books of the Hammers.
The England U21 international signed for Derby in the summer of 2006 - initially on loan - and went on to become a key member of the Rams’ 2007 promotion-winning side to the Premiership.
He has also enjoyed temporary stints with Ipswich Town and Cardiff City as a Rams player.
Bywater will wear shirt number 43 for the Owls.
