SHEFFIELD Wednesday boss Gary Megson celebrated his first win in charge and three vital points to steer the Owls away from the bottom half of League One, writes digital editor Graham Walker.
It was enough to seal a long awaited win and bring Wednesday’s poor run came to an end - their first win in 11 games and Megson’s first as manager.
The Cumbrians’ Matty Robson blocked Gary Medine’s header on the line, but the rebound fell to Miller who blasted into the roof of the net.
Wednesday keeper Nicky Weaver played his part in the important win.
Ben Marshall’s curling effort was clawed wide by the keeper, as was Peter Murphy’s late header.
