ANTHONY Gardner views tomorrow’s match against Forest as another demanding test of the Owls’ new-found Hillsborough form as they seek a rare double.
The club have not achieved two successive home wins since the first week of the season when they beat Birmingham and Millwall.
Improved recent home form saw victories against Brighton and Crystal Palace come either side of a draw with Derby.
Skipper Gardner believes that last week’s 1-0 beating of Palace could turn out to have been an important milestone.
He said: “It was a home win - we have probably been playing better football away, but it was nice to come out on top. We have another tough one next: it will be nice going into that with a bit more confidence after the last result.”
Soon will come clashes with Watford, Leicester and Cardiff. “These are demanding times,” added Gardner. “Teams are trying to push for promotion; we’re trying to push up the league and keep ourselves nice and safe.”
