Owls boss Stuart Gray will miss tomorrow’s match against Watford to attend his son’s wedding.
The club announced today that he has a commitment to attend the wedding which was agreed by the club when he moved to Hillsborough as first-team coach in December, 2012.
Gray will pick the team and has prepared them in training but coaches Lee Bullen and John Deehan will be in charge tomorrow.
He said: “Obviously, I am desperately disappointed to be away from Hillsborough this weekend but, as any parent knows, the prospect of missing the wedding day of your son or daughter is unthinkable.
“Unfortunately the two dates clash and there is no room for manoeuvre.
“However, I will be watching the game via the very latest technology available and I have every confidence in my staff to ensure that the matchday preparations are as focused and diligent as always.”
