SHEFFIELD Wednesday are looking to ship out defensive duo Julian Bennett and Mark Reynolds.
Owls manager Dave Jones has told The Star that neither of the duo have travelled to Portugal and conceded they do not figure in his long-term plans.
Jones, who is aiming to catpure another five players before the start of the Championship campaign next month, wants to trim the wage bill as he aims to reshape his squad.
Left-backs Bennett and Reynolds have yet to officially be put on the transfer list, but Jones has indicated the pair are free to look for new clubs.
The Wednesday chief said: “There are people who we are trying to move on so we can get others in.”
Jones is spoilt for choice in the full-back position. New signing Joe Mattock is in pole position to be the first-choice left-back but Reda Johnson, Daniel Jones and Mark Beevers can all play there.
Along with Bennett and Reynolds, goalkeeper Chris Kirkland has also been left behind. The one-time England international has not made the trip due to personal reasons. Wednesday have yet to make a statement on his situation.
Jones, who refused to comment on speculation linking the club with old boy Richard Wood, says he has no injury worries ahead of their clash with Sporting Lisbon tomorrow, kick-off 8.30pm, and confirmed all of the 25-man party have taken part in their twice-daily training sessions.
Wednesday, meanwhile, have sold out their initial allocation of 2,000 tickets for the friendly at Doncaster Rovers next Saturday. An additional 1,000 tickets are now on sale.
