Stuart Gray is pleased with the support that he has received from his players.
Several have spoken publicly of their wish that he be given the manager’s job.
“It’s nice, but it’s about a squad,” he says. “Eleven will be happy because they’re in the team; the ones who won’t be happy are those who are on the bench or in the stand. I have to thank the players for the effort they’re putting in.”
Gray’s message to the side before today’s game will be that he wants them to play freely.
“I believe we’ll get three points,” he admits. “That’s what I’ll be getting over to the players.
“It’s our patch. We’ve got out of the bottom three - we want to climb up that table.
“The most important thing is the result; if we can get a performance as well, that will be fantastic.
“I get satisfaction when I look at the table and see we’re out of the bottom three. But there’s still a long way to go; we’ve achieved nothing yet.
“The players have to go out in a relaxed manner, get the ball down and play. Hopefully we can cause Leeds problems.”
