Chairman Tony Stewart is calling on supporters to help Rotherham United over the line in their push for Championship safety.
Wigan, who occupy the final relegation spot, arrive at AESSEAL New York Stadium tomorrow and a win could put the Millers 12 points clear of the drop zone.
Stewart said: “I have said on many an occasion that when AESSEAL New York Stadium is full the atmosphere is electric. We really do create a 12th man with the backing from the stands.
“The fans have been excellent all season and I am hoping they can be the difference in these last few games as we look to secure a place in this division next year.”
Stewart was impressed with the 2,000-strong Millers following who cheered their side to a 2-0 win at Huddersfield last week.
“I firmly believe that backing helped the lads to a splendid victory,” he said.
His message to fans is: “Get yourselves down to support the lads on Saturday because with your support I’m sure we can take a huge step in securing a place in the Championship next season.”
