Rotherham United have taken their tally of pre-season signings to eight by agreeing deals with centre-half Richard Wood and winger Ryan Hall.
Wood, the 28-year-old former Sheffield Wednesday defender, has signed a two-year contract while ex-Leeds ace Hall has joined for a year.
The Millers will play in the Championship next season after back-to-back promotions and boss Steve Evans said: “We add Richard to what looks like a very talented squad and I am sure he will have a huge part to play for this club.
“He is an experienced defender ,with many games behind him at this level, who plays predominantly on the left side of the central pairing. He can also do a good job at left-back if called upon.
Hall, 26, was released by Leeds after disciplinary problems and ended the season with MK Dons.
Evans said: “Time will tell with Ryan. We have given him a wonderful opportunity to play for a wonderful football club and he knows we won’t stand for any nonsense.”
Strikers Jordan Bowery and Matt Derbyshire, midfielder Connor Newton, right-back Kirk Broadfoot, left-back Matt Sadler and goalkeeper Scott Loach are Evans’ other acquisitions since the Millers won the League One Play-off Final at Wembley last month.
