Rotherham United continued their countdown to the new season with a deserved victory at derby rivals Doncaster Rovers.
With the start of their Championship campaign only a week away, they bossed proceedings in the second half to finish 2-1 winners.
Matt Derbyshire and Ryan Hall scored goals in the 51st and 56th minutes respectively, before Rovers sub Curtis Main pulled one back with nine minutes to play.
By then the Millers should have been out of sight. Derbyshire had two goals ruled out by marginal offside decisions and they missed a host of other chances, particularly after the break.
New loan signing teenager John Swift, from Chelsea, came on for a lively debut in the second half.
