THE capture of Kayode Odejayi means the first two signings by Rotherham United manager Steve Evans have both been strikers.

The Millers boss is bringing in the ex-Barnsley frontman who was named Player of the Year at Colchester United.

The 30-year-old Nigerian has signed a pre-contract agreement that will see him join the club on July 1, the same day Evans’ first signing, Daniel Nardiello, links up.

Odejayi has had three seasons at Colchester. While at Barnsley where he scored the goal that beat Chelsea in the 2008 FA Cup quarter-final.
