Shaw takes post at Sheffield club

Mark Shaw has been named as Sheffield Club’s new manager. The former Retford United and Sutton Town boss will be joined by assistant coach/manager Peter Shuttleworth at the world’s oldest club.

Charlie Adams, who scored a hat-trick in Club’s 5-0 victory over Brigg Town on Tuesday, is the new player/assistant coach.

Shaw takes over from caretaker boss Ian Whitehorne who stepped in after Chris Dolby resigned in early March. During Whitehorne’s spell in charge, Club won five league games, drew five and lost just one. He will now revert back to his role as chief scout.
