MILLWALL handed Rob Hulse his debut at Oakwell last night after signing the QPR striker on loan until the end of the season.

Manager Kenny Jackett moved for the 33-year-old, who began his career at Crewe, has also represented West Bromwich, Leeds, Derby and Sheffield United, after letting Darius Henderson join Nottingham Forest last week.

“It’s a great time to be coming here,” he said. “The club are battling for the play-offs and in the fifth round of the FA Cup so hopefully, if selected, I can come in and make a difference as the focal point of the side.”

Cardiff City have captured former Norwich defender Simon Lappin.

The 30-year-old full-back has signed an deal until the summer of 2014 after leaving Carrow Road earlier this month by mutual consent.

The Bluebirds have also snapped up 18-year-old striker Rhys Healey from Welsh Premier League side Connah’s Quay for an undisclosed fee.

Wolves have rejected bids for Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Stephen Ward from two unnamed Championship clubs, manager Dean Saunders has confirmed. Defender Richard Stearman has joined Ipswich on loan for the rest of the season.

The Tractor Boys have also extended defender Patrick Kisnorbo’s loan spell from Leeds until the end of the campaign.

Meanwhile, winger Ramon Nunez has left Leeds after having his contract terminated.

Brighton have signed Iceland Under-19 international Emil Asmundssen. The midfielder arrives from Fylkir.

Striker Craig Westcarr has penned a deal with Walsall until the summer, having previously been on loan from Chesterfield.
