SPIREITES’ Wembley-bound players return to training today after a couple of days off.

With four wins on the bounce, including both legs of the JP Trophy Northern Final against Oldham, preparation for the trip to Carlisle United couldn’t be better.

Jack Lester’s goal at Boundary Park means Spireites’ current run represents a season’s highpoint and further reward at Brunton Park is needed if the club is to climb out of the drop zone. Striker Nicky Ajose, 20, borrowed from Peterborough United, will be available.

Midfielder Jamie Lowry, who has been retained rather than let go back to Crewe Alexandra on loan, will renew his acquaintances with the squad after his successful, recall to the side on Monday. Liam Ridehalgh and Neal Trotman, cup-tied against Oldham, should return.

Tickets for the JPT final at Wembley are expected to go on sale week commencing February 13. Spireites have been allocated 20,000 tickets.
