Rotherham referee Howard Webb is to take charge of Brazil’s game with Mexico in the Confederations Cup tonight.

It will be Webb’s first appointment in the competition which features eight teams.

The game is in Fortaleza and has an 8pm kick UK time and will be shown live on BBC3.

His assistant referees are Darren Cann and Mike Mullarkey, the pair who were on the line at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa when they officiated in the final.

Webb also refereed in the last Confederations Cup in 2009 in South Africa.
