Sheffield’s first team journeyed all the way to Kendal for their top of the North Premier table clash.
Unfortunately, they returned with no mint cake but with a well deserved point against the league leaders.
Following a shaky start, the girls found themselves 2-0 down but they came back fighting with good Sheffield spirit, snatching a 2-2 draw thanks to Nicole Perkins and Naomi Halladay.
The draw keeps the team in third place, handily placed three points behind new leaders Bowdon 2s and staying one behind Kendal.
The top five are separated by only four points and Hallam can look forward to their next few games against midtable and lower teams to bolster their assault on the top two places.
This week Springfields visit Abbeydale Park (11.45am start) and Hallam intend continuing their good run of form with another victory.
Sheffield’s second team suffered a 2-1 home defeat against Ben Rhydding, and the third team suffered a similar fate against Colne Valley, also losing 2-1.
Hallam’s fourth side, who play rivals Sheffield University Bankers on Saturday, completed a winless week when they were hammered 5-1 by Dronfield.
