Sheffield’s Graves Park is the venue for tomorrow’s Northern Cross Country Relays with Sale Harriers defending their men’s title.

Hallamshire, sixth last year, will be looking to make an impact on the four stage race - led by Andy Heyes who will be a contender for the fastest time award. The Hallamshire club have entered three teams.

Rotherham defend their title in the women’s three stage race. They were recently top Northren team in the National Road Relay with a team of Sam Johnson, Annabelle Grady, Robyn Lanceley and Natasha Hatswell.

Picking three from that quartet gives the Rotherham team a good chance of retaining their title.

There will be some strong teams from South Yorkshire in the younger age groups, particularly from City of Sheffield who won the Northern Road Relay at under 15 level for both boys and girls.
