Struggling Sheffield Centralians mustered just 115-9, which Sheffield University Staff reached with five wickets down to take defending champions Staff within a point of Holmesfield.

Bottom dwellers Grindleford reached 149 all out (J Ford 45) and saw Apperknowle stroll to a seven wicket win (A Crookes 62 P Loughlin 58no).

Hollinsend Meths scored 168-8 (Parker 43 Carrington 4-49), then saw Parkhead subside to 112 all out to keep Hollinsend within touching distance of the top two.

Stocksbridge were dismissed for 136 (P Yardy 5-24), but in turn sent back Hundall for 90 (C Vickers 4-19).
