Local Yorks/Derbys action gets back under way this weekend following the first round of the T20 Winston Cup, and after progressing easily through to the quarter-final stage,
Holmesfield will take on Parkhead at Parkhead Cricket Ground.
Holmesfield made light work in their two fixtures against Sheffield Transport and Shardlows. After making 146-5, they bowled Transport out for 84 and after sending the Shardlows back with a score of 63 dropped only a single wicket in the process.
Parkhead also secured an easy route to the quarter-final stage after they hit the biggest score of the day, 204 against Walkey with Adam Burkinshaw and Christian Millard hitting 106 and 94 respectively.
Sheffield University Staff made it safely into the quarter-finals and welcome De La Salle to the Norton Playing Fields this weekend.
Unlike the Staff, though, De La Salle are out of the T20 competition. The Civil Service Ground saw only one game get completed. De La Salle staggered, and could reach only 45-7 before Civil Service cruised to a 10 wicket victory and went through after Youlgrave Lodge retired after picking up a number of injuries.
Elsewhere in Division One, third placed Hollinsend Methodist will take on Grindleford who continue to prop up the rest of the league.
Both teams managed to get through into the quarter final stage of the Winston Cup.
