So the Steelers goaltending problems are over for the next two years with the signing of new keeper Frank Doyle.

Doyle is the man who has to back stop the Steelers to a championship, the good news is that he has the credentials.

For a an undrafted goalie to play as long as he did in the American League shows his talents and then to move to Italy, a league renowned for its outstanding goalies and to stay at the same team (Fassa) for three seasons again shows that the Steelers have signed a keeper of the highest quality.

To win a title you need the best goalie and the Steelers believe they have just that.

Cardiff thought they had him signed, Coventry and Braehead tried their best but it was the Steelers who came through with the great help of the University of Sheffield, where Doyle will be studying for an MBA whilst playing with the Steelers.
