In the battle of top-against-bottom in Division One of the Yorkshire and Derbyshire League, it was business as usual as leaders Holmesfield beat Grindleford by seven wickets, after restricting them to 165-9.
Apperknowle, having started the season well, are in danger of sliding into a relegation fight.
Mayank Sharma took 5-41 for Sheffield University Staff as Apperknowle were all out for 138, losing by nine wickets with Sajid Mohamed unbeaten on 73.
Struggling Hundall were dismissed for 118 at the Wheatsheaf grounds, Parkhead cruising to a six-wicket win.
Hollinsend Methodists racked up 206-5 but Sheffield Centralians replied in fine style, eventually running out winners by four wickets for a vital win in their relegation battle.
Stocksbridge were bowled out for 153 and appeared to have the best of visitors De La Salle. However, they reckoned without the last pair who required 11 to win from the final over.
They hit 10, including a huge 6, to tie the game.
In Division Two, strugglers Baslow were all out for 165 against table-topping Ashford in the Water.
However Ashford succumbed to exactly 100 all out.
Bakewell were dismissed for 103, and Sheffield Civil Service strolled to the win by eight wickets to close the gap at the top. Weston Park were rolled over for 61 and Hathersage’s subsequent six-wicket win saw them climb to third.
